Why large projects should start first

Commercial properties, HOAs, apartments, venues, estate homes, tall trees, RGB systems, and synchronized displays require more coordination than a straightforward roofline. They may involve multiple approvals, after-hours access, lifts, specialized materials, control programming, power review, tenant communication, or fixed event dates. Starting early allows the design to be solved before installation crews and materials are under peak pressure.

A request is not fully scheduled until the scope, price, terms, deposit requirements if any, property access, and installation window are confirmed. Sending a message alone should not be treated as a guaranteed reservation.

When an early installation can make sense

Some customers choose an earlier physical installation with a later activation date. That can improve schedule flexibility while still keeping the display dark until the desired start. Whether that approach is available depends on the property, agreement, controls, neighborhood expectations, weather, and crew calendar.

If a community has rules about installation or illumination dates, provide them during the design stage. For events, grand openings, resident gatherings, or commercial promotions, work backward from the fixed date and leave room for testing and corrections.

What to prepare before requesting a date

Prepare the service address, current photos, preferred colors, features to decorate, approximate footage, tree counts, desired activation date, access details, HOA or property rules, and any event deadline. Decide who can approve the design and who will be available for installation-day questions.

Do not forget takedown planning

The holiday calendar is not complete until removal is addressed. Confirm the expected takedown period, site access, customer responsibilities, storage terms, and how weather or property restrictions may affect timing.
