Company Christmas Light Storage Policy

This policy explains how Elf’s Christmas Lights stores customer-owned Christmas lights and related materials between holiday seasons. It applies whenever the company accepts lights, clips, cords, timers, greenery, decorations or other customer-purchased display materials for storage after takedown.

Complimentary storage with annual installation

Storage of customer-owned Christmas lights and related materials is provided at no additional charge for as long as Elf’s Christmas Lights continues to perform the customer’s annual installation service.

Complimentary storage is tied to the continuing annual installation relationship. It helps keep the customer’s materials together and available for the next scheduled season, but it does not transfer ownership of those materials to Elf’s Christmas Lights.

Storage after installation service ends

If the customer discontinues Elf’s Christmas Lights’ installation service or hires another company to install the lights, a storage fee of $40 per month will apply for each month the lights and materials remain stored at our facility after service is discontinued.

The monthly fee begins when Elf’s Christmas Lights is no longer performing the annual installation and continues while the materials remain at the facility. Customers should arrange release, return, transfer or collection promptly if they do not plan to continue annual installation service.

Release and return of materials

Any outstanding storage balance must be paid in full before the lights or materials are released, returned, transferred, or collected.

To help the company locate and prepare stored materials, customers should contact Elf’s Christmas Lights before arriving for collection or requesting a transfer. Release timing and pickup details will be coordinated directly with the customer after the account and stored items are identified.

Customer ownership

All lights and materials purchased by the customer remain the customer’s property.

This ownership rule remains in effect whether storage is complimentary or subject to the monthly fee. The storage policy governs the cost and release conditions for keeping the materials at the company’s facility; it does not convert customer-owned materials into company property.
