Elf’s Christmas Lights is building a privacy-safe source of first-party planning information for homeowners, HOAs and commercial properties across Dallas–Fort Worth. This report will show how requested display scope, property type, service area and booking timing influence preliminary holiday-lighting estimates.
What the index will measure
The index summarizes configured requests submitted through Trusty’s planning calculator. It reports median planning ranges rather than individual customer records. Names, phone numbers, email addresses, street addresses, messages and uploaded property photos are excluded from the public dataset.
Publication safeguards
DFW-wide results publish only after at least 20 configured estimates are available. A city receives its own row only after at least five eligible estimates. These thresholds reduce the risk of exposing an individual request and avoid presenting an unstable one-request average as a market benchmark.
How to use the information
Published ranges are planning signals, not advertised guarantees or completed-project invoices. Roofline length, building height, trees, wreaths, garland, RGB effects, access, electrical conditions, installation timing, maintenance and takedown can change the final scope. A written Elf’s proposal follows a property-specific review.
What affects a DFW holiday-lighting plan
A simple roofline has different labor, product and access needs from a layered display with peaks, ridges, columns, mature trees, landscape lighting, wreaths and garland. Commercial and HOA projects can also require board approval, property-management coordination, lift access, certificates of insurance, operating-hour rules and staged installation. Weather and the requested completion date may influence scheduling. The index keeps these differences in context rather than treating every property as an identical installation.
